Bringing you the Awesome.

Wow, an Awesome Blog Update

I can’t believe I haven’t posted in a month.  Hard to believe that people are still showing up; albeit not many.  I thought I would post some stuff about Comicon, but there are much better places to get that information.  Plus, I haven’t been able to follow to much of anything lately as my real life job has been keeping me crazy busy.  In the last month I have been out of town on vacation, brought a new manufacturing system on-line at work, which took many long days and weekends to complete, and now I am prepping on closing a location and bring the IT equipment from there to where I am to take on that work….long story short I have been busy.

So here is a couple things I have stumbled across in the last 30 days.

Here is a pretty interesting article from the blog Geek Gril Diva, on how to keep your geek guy happy.  And no it is not all sexy and video games, but i think that would be a mighty fine start.

5 Tips on Proper Geek (guy) Maintenance.

My new favorite game.  X-men Origins:Wolverine.  Yeah the movie sucked, but the game is worth the price.  Remember in the movie and Wolverine kept saying “I am the best at what I do and I don’t do nice things”  or something to that respect.  Int eh game you get to be the true bad-ass Wolverine.  This is not a game for young children.  You get to really mess up the bad-guys. There is plenty of blood, dismemberment, beheadings and violence galore.  If you get to I highly recommend picking  this up.

Killzone or SPL depending on where your from.  Here is a clip from the movie, this is a must own for martial arts fans.

Fan Made Green Lantern Trailer starring Nathan Fillion

A while back I posted the trailer for the animated Green Lantern Trailer, here.   Never being a huge Green Lantern fan, I can probably count on one hand the number of Green Lantern comics I have ever read, but being a fan of superheroes in general I thought this was awesome.

I saw this come across my Twitter feed this morning from Dan Tractenberg from the Totally Rad Show.  A fan-made trailer for a fictional Green Lantern movie starring Nathan Fillion (Firefly, Serenity and Castle).

Over the last few months there has been rumors of a live action Green Lantern movie, and the geeks across the inter-webs have been calling for Fillion to squeeze into the green and black tight of Hal Jordan aka the Green Lantern.  So, this trailer popped up some time recently on You Tube and as it turns out it is getting tons of views especially after Fillion supposedly posted about it on his twitter feed.

Murmur.com

profilemurmur3 What is Murmur.com?

Murmur is a relatively new site created by the guys over at   iFanboy.com. They are describing murmur as a place where you can find content about the things you like and the things that are important to you.  Currently there are articles and  write-ups about movies, books, television and technology.  Sound familiar?  However, the guys at Murmur are attempting to create a community, by this I mean you can help shape that conversations by contributing your own content, or by participating in the on-going conversations.  The plan is that the editorial staff will produce content, but so can any of the users.  Basically they are giving you a chance to hear and be heard.

From the Murmur “about us” page….

“Murmur is not a blogging platform. We are not a social networking site. We aren’t your home on the web. We are your soapbox, your flyer on the telephone pole, your crazy man at the bus stop, your pulpit, your reviewer’s seat, your talking head on the TV and your radio show.”

Murmur is currently in closed beta, which means that only invited people can register and fully use the site. They are doing this so they can continue to work out the bugs and make Murmur better. But they are encouraging us to join the community, so go ahead and register and the Murmur staff will let us know when they are  ready for us to come and participate!
